New England
I was readin yesterday on yahoo sports about how its possible for the pats to go 11-5 and not make the playoffs but if you look at the broncos and cards it is possible for them to go 8-8 and make the playoffs. What are your thoughts about that. I remeber last year the browns went 10-6 and missed the playoffs. Should the NFL go to a 16 team playoff 8 from each confernce or stay with the system they have now.
-
yeah all i see in the current structure are teams playing good but being in a conference with tuff competition they have to sit and watch less worthy teams getting a chance to compete. sad ... I believe in justice in all things.... especially sports ...there should be no shelters ... the best of the best..... if top 4 come from same region then dam it other regions need to step it up! and while we are asking for change is it too much to ask them to play topless?
-
i am up for topless only if they start a women's league and fox and cbs broadcst thier games
-
I'm with Target......go topless or don't go at all!!!!!WooooooooooHooooooooSueeeeeeeeeee:D

Turn it into the same system the NHL has, but you need more games imo. 16 isnt alot to cancel out all the respective luck/flaws int he leagues.
Each team in your conference once, then draw the othe 8 from the opposite conference at random for a 24 game season.
-
i would say 24 is too long maybe get rid of the preseason and have a 20 game season. i like your idea though
-
Stay with what they have now.
-
i say play 25 games in regular season

The problem is, the league doesn't want to dilute the importance of the divisions.
I don't know how it works in hockey, but even in basketball, the top 3 seeds in each conference are the division winners.
I suppose that maybe it is not as big a problem in the NBA because there are 6 divisions instead of 8 and more teams have the opportunity to make the playoffs.
Unless the NFL restructures the divisions and cuts out a few, I don't think there is anything they can do about this.
