Hello Everyone!

I would like to say to all of you that I have had the pleasure to know here that I have missed you greatly, and that I hope you are all wonderful! Those of you I have not got to meet yet, hello =).

Things have been very stressful, scary, complicated. The major issue was my health, and my migraines. After several years getting treatment, I finally started seeing a specialist. Together he and I are working diligently to treat these chronic daily migraines I have. My ex-fiancee nearly beat me to death on Valentine's Day, 2009. Along with several broken bones and fractures, I suffered a serious head injury. I then started developing prolonged headaches. To add to it, July last year I was in a car wreck. I was the passenger in a car and we were at a red light, and this drunk driver smashed into the back of us going about 40mph. I suffered another head injury, and since that happened, my migraines have taken over my life. It is a long, slow process. Trying all types of medication, therapies, and other things to see if we can get the migraines to only happen once or twice a week, instead of every day. I currently am getting steroid injections in the back of my skull, which help dull the pain form the migraines. I also am taking some heavy duty pain killers, but I try to use them very sparingly, as I know the serious risks involved with these pills. Also, I have for the last year been very active with my church group, and I know the power of prayer to be very powerful. If any of you have any helpful information regarding migraines, and possible treatment, please let me know. I also recently was told that acupuncture, and acupressure may help. I have tried so many things, and if I stop trying that means I give up, and I can't do that.

I hope to be an active member as I once was. I truly hope you are all doing well. I feel like a member of a family here, and it is a wonderful feeling. :smile:

My daughter has debilitating migraines they believe are from sinus problems.....I'm sure nowhere near the level of yours, but I know how frustrating life can be for the whole family when someone suffers with these.....my heart goes out to you and hopes you can find some relief soon
