Just want to see how many names get called out here...
What is your list of "ESPN is talking way to much about him"?
The first name on Espn to annoy me was.....(drum roll please)
Thats right~ OJ Simpson
Micheal Jordon
Kobe Bryant (sry rllngn)
Brett Favre *my number1 I can't stand his name*
Lebron James
Tiger Woods
Now I know some of you are die hards for your teams and players but this is not about them just about the Sports Media going over board!!!:boxing_smiley:

I'm going to take a different angle on this post and mention a few names that ESPN doesn't mention enough. Yes, they have gotten some press this year but they really deserve more, as well as the sport they represent as a whole!
Walter Ray Williams, Jr. (Pro Bowler)
Chris Barnes (Pro Bowler)
Norm Duke (Pro Bowler)
Kelly Kulick (Pro Bowler)
Calvin Borel (Jockey)
And of course, this list wouldn't be complete without pro poker players!
Daniel Negranu
Scotty Nguyen
David Williams
Phil Helmuth
I could go on...

Kelly Kulick deserved FAR more press than what she received when she won the Tournament of Champions. No woman had won on the PBA National Tour until she showed up and dominated from start to finish (She was invited to compete as the Woman's world champion). I swear if it had happened in any other sport besides bowling, it would have been all over the news, internet, etc. Instead it was treated like a "Good Morning, America" type story at best.

Do they talk at all about bowling on Espn? I agree Tay they need to get more coverage of poker players going....But Phil would be on the they say his name way to much list from the coverage he already gets...So to me he's kinda a whole other subject!

Why would ESPN talk about bowling when nobody cares about bowling?

We just got back from league bowling tonight. Don't tell me no one bowls anymore, the place was packed! I only wish I could actually be able to bowl, but my stupid shoulders won't let me anymore. But it's still fun watching my Klink!

I love bowling-- i've been trying to join a casual league. (i bowl a 140-160) to hang out and get some drinks-- and the place has live music. I'm waiting for registration to open again.

Bowling? You don't care about the bowling aspect. For you, its only about the drinks, lets be honest.

I enjoy bowling, but of course it's about the going out and having fun and meeting new people and drinking.
If it was for the bowling, why would I join a casual league?

If it's not about the bowling, why bother joining a league at all? You can do all that other stuff without being in a league.

Because you're meeting new people and making friends while having fun and doing something fun. Like I said, casual league. Not OMG LETS BOWL league.
