There is a book written about how positive thinking
doesn't make you happy. Being real makes you happy.
The trials and tribulations, the anger, the pains all make you happy,
not positive thinking.
Positive thinking is a waste of time when you have a crisis, it is written.
Now I am all mixed up. I am to think that I have been spending too much time trying to think positively and all along it has been masking my misery?
I am not happy because I am being too positive?
It makes me happy to be positive.
Who wrote this stupid book anyway?
Just another oppinion.
Be happy think positive thoughts

It may be just saying don't be delusional. There are probably some situations in life that are bad no matter how you look at it, and people may be just expecting to get through them and have things turn out okay just as long as they have a positive attitude. Despite the possible presence of a God or whatever (which I believe in), that doesn't mean that we're absolutely powerless to help ourselves out, sometimes we have to take the first step, or several steps, in improving our situation. There's a joke out there about God promising to help some man win the lottery, and days go by where he doesn't win, so he asks God why he didn't help him, only to be told that all he needed to do was buy the lottery ticket! So I think that's all its trying to say is be positive, but be realistic, and when you need help don't be afraid to get it and/or ask for it.

Its called life eejit. I am probably going through a rougher stage than you are. Plus I have to think of my 2 year old son as well. He eats and get what he wants before I do. Its really rough but trying to get through it. Yes I am happy that I have my beautiful family but having no money and not being able to do what I want is very frustrating and somewhat depressing.

I guess that is life and we just got get through it.

I try to think happy thoughts but when I do I exaggerate a lot and wish it came true. Man, I might need some anti-depressants.

Being very easily amused really helps.

It does, thanks for the advice. I have been watching a lot of comedy movies lately and hanging around friends to try to forget about it.
