New NDN Ideas for October!

Ok I know some people out there are worried about the changes happening or whats gonn happen to the private games. People asking how are we gonna keep 1,000 peoplefrom hijacking the private games, or how are we gonna do the winners league with no chips. This is a thread that we can come to and exspress our ideas and worries about the coming changes, and hopefully maybe get a great idea that everyone likes that NDN approves of.

A particular idea I have had, to keep members active is to have a minimal post requirement and at least be a 30 day member before being sent the password for the private games. I dont even know if thats even gonna be around anymore, so that is just a shot in the dark there.

Also a rep system such as the one we have currently can also be used for something Im sure.

I have enjoyed the changes Ive seen in the past, but this one is big and is gonna change alot of things, so help out everyone, and write your ideas here.

I like the idea of a minimum post and active members for thirty days. I don't think 24 hours is gonna do it. Who knows I am just saying.

Maybe a private room on the forum that only members with a certain amount of post can get in.(50-100 post count.)

Seems that now that the glitch is known about and is fairly easy to
track abuse of, we should all be warned not to do it and keep things the way they are.
The adminastrator can easily test random posts to see if there is any abuse of the system.
We are talking about trust here.

Another interesting idea I was talking to thenutz about last night is that instead of having a veriance of chips you could earn in a post, have it to where there is a set amount of chips earned requiring at least 20-30 words per post like this:

20-30 word post=20chips
30-50 word post=30chips

and so on with a max amount earned of 50 chips. This is a great idea in my opinion, and if it is viable, could work great.

I was also thinking about having freerolls entry based on you rep power. for example:

- 5 dollar freeroll for new comers.
- 10 dollar freeroll for one rep point
- 25 dollar freeroll for two rep point

etc.

Ya maybe break it down into tier brackets. like tier one which would be the new guys, tier 2 for the imtermediates, and tier 3 for the regular posters and so on. I havent seen anyone reach a tier 4 yet, so dont know the tiers goes past that a tier 3. But ya, that is also a great idea too. points or tiers, another great idea.

The private room seems like a good idea, and we could probably get one going at FTP. like a buy-in even would be cool.

Why dont you just release the password 20 minutes before the event, it would definetly limit the amount of outsiders...
