I spend about $300 a month on food for my fiancee, my son, and me. That is not including fast food or going out to eat. Why does food have to cost money??? I love to eat, probably one of my favorite things to do. Anyone else spend about that much or more on food in a month???

Lots of cheaper options out there. You can live cheap eating mostly rice & beans with a few veggies. Get's boring though. I also have a lot of friends who grow and raise their own food. It's starts to be a full time job though.

$300 a month for 3 people isn't that bad. When my daughter still lived with us we spent way more than that. Actually I think we still do. Food costs don't bother me as much as other expenses. Especially phones. Ridiculous how much I spend on something I hate and would love to live without.

I NEED my phone, that's where I get my Internet!!! but If I had a choice, I would forego the phone and just keep the internet.

If I had to use my phone for the internet none of you would ever see me again. I hate phones.

Food is very over priced in my opinion. I don't spend that much on food because I don't have that much to spend. But I would spend it if I had it. I am taking a nutrition class right now and it is a big bill to eat a healthy diet. Although the instructor says differently I will beg to differ with her because she is wrong and that is all there is to it!
