I want to know how in the world are we suppose to pick the winner in the dallas cowboy vrs new york giants game. I am a big time cowboys fan, but from a sports book perspective, this is a nightmare of a pick in my opinion. I mean the cowboys have a great team and got 3 TD's over 30 yards last week, and the giants got a great defense, but an integeral part of their offensive schem is gone in plaxibo buress, the guy that helped win alot of games against the cowboys after tikki barber left. So who is the safe pick here, the straight money pick?

I knew we would hear from mom tonight. Miami will win. I am so convinced I am wearing my Miami Hurricanes doo-rag to both of my doctors tomorrow. It's funny when I wear it around here because I am in gator country! Either way it will be a great game!

first off, the g-men vs the boys, the is gonna be a hardnosed game, i wouldnt touch the spread in this one...i think c-boys win outright only bc it's at home...i would suggest picking the under or dallas moneyline in this one, unless the giants d scores 2 touchdowns, this one will end 17-14 Cboys ontop. Jacobs could run wild though....and thats scary!

Thanks for the opinions on the dallas-giants game. As fr as g-tech against miami, I am gonna go with g-tech here, just by what my gut is telling me. I know miami is a great team, and they have been a solid program for a long time now, But under the spotlight in whats probably going to be a nationally telivised game, G-Tech will shine, and stun alot of people.

I believe the Giants will loose this as the barely survived against the Redskins last week the skins came back tough in the second half.

OK, it's 6:10 pm...i'm at work till 9, so i'm gonna miss kickoff...but here goes the pick.

This is going to be a GREAT football game, very close all the way down to the very last minute! Miami handed it to Florida State last week, however last week is last week and it was a matchup of two solid, not great teams. Ga. Tech has the goods this year to be a great team. The first thing that comes to mind is John Nesbitt. Solid QB qith GREAT running ability. Did you know that Ga Tech already has combined as a team in 2 games for over 450 yds rushing... Mostly due to this elusive QB. He needs to get his passing efficiency down, however. I look to Ga. Tech to control this game on the ground, and win with a late drive in the 4th quarter. The Yellow Jackets as a team this year will only go as far as Nesbitt's arm will allow. You will see teams keying on him all game with a spy. And it will happen tonight!

Ga. Tech to beat the spread at 4

Ga. tech to win moneyline (35-31)

and ofcourse im taking the over at 54...its the ACC, theres no defense, BIG SCORES!

easy win for GTech...... about the moneyline that is tough!!! but i like Gtech in both as well kings!!

miami starts off flat b/c they beat their instate rivals fsu last week. about miami's QB he gets shutdown all game for running. Gtech watched the tapes of last week.

GTECH covering 4 and moneyline!!!!! haha i got 100 on gtech 50 on the spread and 50 on the moneyline...... lets go GTECH!!!!!!

I am a bit let down I guess that this game didnt live up to what it was hyped up to be. This was suppose to be a great game between two very good teams, but miami came out and made a laughing stock of g-tech defense the whole game. g-tech has a great offense, but the coaches need to kick the crap outta the defensive unit this week and whip them boys back in shape or something. This was not a great game, and miami deserved to win. They came prepared with a great offensive package, and solid defense.

thenutzaa1
09-18-2009, 09:34 AM
i turned the game off after the first quarter, ugly performance from the yellow jackets!!!! Miami QB came out and played ball 20-25 with 3 TD's......where is the defense. Gtech defense should of not been on the field and maybe Miami would of not score as much!!!!

Again, ACC football: Don't Bother.

If you're not Vtech or Miami (who isn't really an ACC team anyway) then you're not good. It's as simple as that.

2 games stood out to me today as i was putting in my picks...
Tennessee/Florida and USC/Washington.

YES, florida will probably romp Tennessee, however...will they beat them by 30??? this is usually a good game every year so my pick for the streak went to Tennessee to beat the spread at 30.

USC as i understand is having trouble with QB's right now. A freshman QB leading numerous drives against a solid Washington team...absolutely, but an injured freshman QB leading the way???...prob not...there's no question in mymind that USC wont win. I feel that this will be a low scoring game as USC shuts down WU's offense and USC's O struggles this week, but wins via the run game from Joe McKnight. My pick this game is the Under at 52.

happy cfb saturday!

big wins yesterday!!!
both picks were right on...except the part about USC winning...GOOD THING I PICKED WU TO BEAT THE SPREAD!!!! hahaha

I've been thinking about this pick all week and i want to drop some money on it because i feel so confident in it...
my pick for today, Sunday 9/20/09, is the Steelers @ DA Bears.
The bears are no match for the defending NFL champs, even if they are playing in Chi-city. This is pegged t be a "great game" but i just don't think this one sided affair will pan out to be that type of game. Steelers roll by atleast 10...bears might not even score a TD... Steelers covering 1 pt all day!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL??? MNF tonight Panthers @ Cowboys

here's my thoughts on this game...both teams are mediocre at best, both teams have no defense, cowboys will most likely pull a win off. But not by 9 points which is the spread i'm looking at. If you can, get your bets on the panthers beating the spread at 9 before the line drops by game time. ALSO, as stated before, neither team has a solid defense, so my BIG PICK this game is the over at 45. I know...thats a high over/under for an nfl game, but i see this game being 31-24, Cowboys ofcourse. Remember, each team only has to score 23 points...very easy with the lack of defense...

Goodluck and I can't wait to mop up the NDN freeroll game tonight!
See you all then...

Attempting to rebound from this mondays floozy of a pick, one game stood out to me right away on Saturday, and thats the big game of the week no.4 LSU @ no. 14. My gut instincts on this game say that it could go either way. However, both teams score alot of points, and only LSU has shut down opponents offense, BUT, they haven't played anybody yet. Georgia has already played some solid teams and came out 3-1 so far in 4 games. I give georgia the edge in this one to cover the spread of 3 pts. Also, this could very well be a "barn-burner" of a game, so my guts tell me to go with the over at 50.5 pts. I'll keep you posted on some other picks on sat morning. Plus 2 big NFL picks this weekend on SUNDAY!!!

My upset pick of the week to the shigrin of LL players is
Kansas City beating the NY Giants.

You heard me!! KC is like 47-3 at home in last 50 games.
They are 0-3 and this is the NFL.
Temps is the 40's.
And of course mine and Targetguy's brilliant pick of Seattle losing to Indy

Not a good idea to pick home teams to lose, no matter what team it is.
Remember Detroit?

No way KC beats the Gmen. NYG are the best team in the NFL right now.

Lock of the day: Indy beats SEA by whatever the hell the spread is and Ravens beat the Pats, ignoring the spread. They don't need the points, the Ravens are the #2 best team in the NFL.

Also, GB to cover at home vs MIN.

As much as i hate Favre, I still think his team has more weapons than the Fudge-Packers. Given, the Packers D is LEGIT, i feel that old man Favre and A.P. will take the game over. If this game becomes a scorefest, which it may, look for the Vikes to give the ball to Favre to do with as he pleases, and A.P. will be forgotten about. But remember last year, A.P. ran wild for 192 Yds. and 2 touchdowns. My picks are as follows...

250 untis on the over @ 47 Pts.

100 units on the Packers to beat the spread @ 3.5

if you get offered Minn -3 or less, take Minnesota

Minnesota 27-Green Bay24

:Happy thirsty thursday everyone!
Are you ready for some football picks???!?!?!!

BIG GAME TONIGHT!
No. 22 Nebraska @ No.18 Missouri

this is gonna be a great game, guaranteed.
Both teams are off to a solid start of the season, and approaching the midway point...

I think Mizzou wins this one by atleast 7, mostly because 3 of Nebraskas DB's are injured/out...2 safeties and a cornerback. And we all know how Mizzou is a "pass first" type of team. Nebraska will score some points but will fall short in the early 4th quarter in this game. One thing that bothers me is how well they played defense against Va. Tech. They lost 16-15 to a top contender in the BCS running. My pick for this game is either Missouri beating the spread at 3.5(100 units), or Missouri moneyline(50 units), as well as the UNDER @50 Pts.(200 units)

also, kudos to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. They showed alot of poise when the game was on the line last night. Their QB threw some errant passes, but the recievers made solid breaks on the ball, and made things happen. Nebraska is looking like a legit team.

100 unit play on the over @57

god hiow much do i love it when college football games are on wed nights. Especially when it's two well known teams such as Boise State @ Tulsa!

tonights pick is neither team beat or coverign the spread because this is always a good matchup between these teams. My pick is the over @53. This pick should be a lock considering that last year there was over 85 points scored in this game. Boise state itself is averaging 40.2 PPG and Tulsa is averaging 32.8 . I truly believe that the giants will win this one. Honestly, they are the best team in the NFL right now. They dominate the ground game, and their defense is REDICULOUS. All much needed characteristics of a championship contender. The game that decided this for me was the Jets/Saints game. Yes they beat down the jets, BUT Drew Brees died a little bit that game when put to the test against a good defense. Drew Brees is what makes that team live or die, hes the Tom Brady of New Orleans, and if he has a bad game, the whole team sucks. The giants could have David Carr(who by the way, the giants will trade next year for a top reciever) in the game and still score 30+ points, as long as he gives love to his buddies Bradshaw and Jacobs.

Giants 27-Saints 13

in which case...

Giants Moneyline
