Treating Toe Nail Fungus?

I read that vicks vapor rub works good at killing toenail fungus.
Has anyone had any experience with this problem.
1 in 10 people have it.
I read that prescription medicine can cause liver damage and other harse side affects.
So I would like to try a something topical and cheap.
The over the counter treatments are $30-$40.
Is there anything else I should try?

Are you sure it's one out of ten? i thought it was more like one out of 50 but i may be wrong. Maybe you are using the stat for any fungus like the dreaded tongue fungus and eyebrow fungus both i hear are lethal. I hope you can find relief for this. scarey though ^^^is that horse side effects or harsh side effects? both equally serious reasons to find alternatives. So someone please help here before we start having to call him Mr ED (though NDN would say that 's a gem of a name)

There is nothing gross about it.
Just thickened nail and discolored abit and it gets sore.

Only 1 toe has it and and it's at an early stage it appears

ewww one of my apprentices had it on both feet and he was only 24. when we were working in AZ he use to walk around barefooted and i always would say u better put your dam sock s back on u nasty f. they were like yellow toe nails and cracking . ewwww just sick.

yeah it's gross. I heard soaking your feet in vinegar and water every night for a while works. Let me know I always wondered if it really does work. No disrespect to anyone here, but I have beautiful feel. If my toes aren't polished I feel like I have naked toes. Nice nails are great. Make sure your wife takes care of this because it can spread to other nails. Good luck and let us know what works.

yeah i heard epsom salt works also with a 30 minute soak. so does gasoline ans sulfuric acid. lol

no joke, i read in mens health that soaking your toes in mouth wash clears toenail fungus because of the acid in the alcohol.
