It is that time of year again where all the so called freaks gather on the black top desert for the Burning Man Festival.

Families are seen in town this week with their rainbow colored haired children and flowered vans. The annual event has gotten so popular that the tickets for the once free event are now $200.
By the way, the closest 7-11 is 100 miles away.

Wow, thats gotta be one of the craziest, psychedlic drug festivals on the planet. I've heard of it before, but only as a like, pop culture reference or something like that. Just from those three pictures, i gather that burning man must be a freggin blast, i would love to go to something like that.

Where is the burning man held? It different each year? Ive never gone to anything like that, Ive been to one concert in my whole life, i think i need to get out more, and that looks like fun! Any reason they burn a man, or is it just some symbolic drug thing??

Regardless i dont think u couldve picked three better picutres to sum up what it was all about :-p. Definately peaked my interest

I am exactly 70 miles west of Gerlach Nevada, however it's all dirt road to get there. Then another 15 miles East into the Black Top desert from there. Check put google earth

I never went to Burning man but I have been to the Black Top Desert.

The festival is always in the Black Rock Desert not Black Top

I got to knew this festival on the erowid website.
U know this site? look for it. I think its amazing.
I wish I also could go to such a nice festival.
