Looking a little closer at the Minnesota Twins, we find that they are only 6 1/2 back with 43 game to play. The Twins are 5 games under .500 but 25 of their remaining games are played against losing teams.
If they can finish off this road trip with a split with Texas and grab 2/3 at KC, I think the Twins might be contenders.

The Giants are looking pretty good of late too.

The Giants were down 5-1 and lost their coach and best pitcher,
they stormed back and won 8-5.

The Twins, like the Giants need that pissed off edge with a month to go.

after tonights beat down from the ranger the twins are done. people there forgot about them and are more worried about brett farve and the vikes now. the twins are like yesterdays newspapper...........in the garbage.

good thing is when they win the world series this year i dont have to listen to people call me a band wagon jumper as i root for all dallas/ fort worth area teams.

The Bosox beat the Rangers today to take a 1 game lead but the Yanks will put them in their place this weekend.

The Twinkies don't have a shot though.
