I gave my cat a bath.

After I read this on the internet I decided it would be a good idea.

There are some dissenting views on this issue but in general there is usually no reason to bathe your cat especially a shorthaired indoor cat.

Cats spend a large percentage of their days grooming themselves and they are experts at it.

Using their barbed tongues they lick dirt and debris off their fur in order to keep it clean and odor free.

Cats with long hair may require the occasional bath if their fur gets too oily.

Their fur can get too oily based on climate conditions and the individual skin of the cat.

There are also occasional times when your cat's fur may get excessively dirty due to some mishap that the cat has gotten itself into. In some of these cases it may be necessary to give your cat a bath.

So I got her, her name is Sophie, and the baby shampoo and decided to try this out with her.

She didn't enjoy it as much as I thought she would.

She has swam before when she was young so I thought it would be a much better experience than it was.

She scratched me and hissed at me even.

Which is something she had never done before.

I will definitely not try bathing her again anytime soon.

I'm gonna have to give her some warm milk to make up for it. lol.

I will say this isn't one of my most brightest ideas I've ever had.

A majority of the time Cats do not like water.

But regardless we give I kitty's baths all the time.

Even though they hate it.

I only had one cat that I can think of that loved water.

Her name was Kitty Girl. If she heard the water in the

shower or bath running, man she was in the bath room.

If I were the one bathing she wanted in with me no matter

what. I never seen nothing like it. We don't have her any more.

She died. :) Sad times!

How to Clean a toilet

This was simply too much of a time saver not to share it with you

1. Put both lids of the toilet up

And add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid.
You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds.
Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this..

5. Flush the toilet three or four times.
! This provides a 'power-wash' and rinse'..

6. Have someone open the front door of your home.
Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom,
And run outside where he will dry himself off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

Sincerely,

The Dog

ok...just show you know the timing was perfect...I really do love cats. I also have had cats who love the water. I had dogs my whole life, so when I finally got cats, I treated them like dogs and they acted like dogs. My cat greets us when we come home and meows to go out. I love cats.

That was funny.

And clearly a joke.

Could you imaging anyone ever actually doing this?

I couldn't believe someone but a mean old dog would do this.

I give her a bath to make sure she doesn't have any fleas, etc.

Plus however hard she tries, she can't reach everyone.

well i just recently gave my 2 kitties a bath and they were like fish out of water. they didny enjoy it all. so what i do hold the back of there necks and that seemed to calm them down. just like momma would do. lol well what i really enjoyed is when they get out of the bath and arent fully dried and they shake ther elegs as they walk. funniest **** ever. i tried the tape on the paws thing tonight for my girls and they loved it. was a riot it was. tape and pounce treats laced with cat nip is the best. like meth for cats.

My cat loves cat nip. Her favorite thing is the cardboard scratch pad they sell. She gets a new one every other month and it comes with the best cat nip ever, according to KitKat. Have you tried the lazer lights with your cat? They love those too, just don't point them at anyone's eyes and never use them when a cop is around...they may think it's a gun and they are a target, fyi....

I would try it myself if I had a cat and if I could stand behind my toilet.
