Penn and Teller seem to think so. This season on their series, "Bull****!" they did an episode about the theory of the world ending in 2012. It made me think of freeringo, so here are the links so he (and all of you) can watch it on YouTube. The episode is broken down into three parts.

I wouldn't say that it is like 2k but it may be a myth. My friend told me something about how the Indians in Mexico predict 2012 and like all of these other people which is kind of weird lol.

Who know's what will really happen. I'm just going to enjoy my life to the fullest everyday and enjoy my friends and family. :)

The dark dwarf star that passes through our solar system every 30,000 years poses a pretty big threat to mankind, if indeed it does pass though again in 2012. 1% of mankind will survive, so I am not worried because I am in the top 1%.

I'm not so sure it is like that. Y2K was just a government/media hyped event to get people to consume. In order for individuals to be good americans they need to be either producing or consuming as many hours of the day as possible. Whenever there is a lack in spening or producing, some y2k, burd flu, natural disaster, something happens as an attempt to try and right the economy. To some degree there definately is that kinda aspect (pparticularly with the nostradamus articles and shows the are all over US tv, and with the movie 2012 comin out).
Huge discrepency is the long list of profits holy men, and actual tangible evidence of older civilizations and persons who believed or predicted it. Whether it be the paintings and etchings in the mayan ruins, or nostradamus, edgar casey, and the long list of other soothesayers and profits who have claimed it to be true.
I dont think that people can even wrap their mind around an idea like global annhialition. Its like trying to understand how the universe was just always there. Some things u gotta realize u just cant "get". As for its validity; with all the people crying wolf, just makes it harder and harder for me to believe. I just really really hope that these peoples messages of about these monumentous events arent obscured through commercialism and stubborn thinking. would really be something if we didnt heed that kinda warning, as a people...

Earth changes based on Mayan

Precisely at midnight on Dec. 21, 2012, the planets Pluto, Uranus and Neptune will be in perfect alignment, an extremely rare event that takes place only once in 26,000 years.

NASA has predicted that there would be very intense solar storm in 2012, and the sun would reverse its magnetic poles because of the ending of the 11-year sunspot cycle. well all i got to say is there arent anymore real mayans left today in this world so maybe they were talking about there own kind. if there are real mayans left the closest we will get to seeing one is one that has other spanish in it.. i mean what would u believe a scientsist back then or from people that walk around with loin clothes and saggy boobs. lol i mean if u think about it they didnt even know if there was a earth. they were in the hills dancing around fires and praying to eagles and stuff like that. i find it all funny that all the hype over it. makes me laugh because there are gullable people out there that will believe this crap. well if the world does ends and there are people left over to start over i want to be one. i have always wondered how it would feel to walk aroung with a woody in a loin cloth as i am watching a free strip show with all the boobies out there. if someone today says it then i will believe it if they have proof till then i dont want none of it. :chillpill::chillpill::chillpill::sifone::sifone:: sifone:
