I will be launching the reputation system later today or tomorrow.

I have modified the system so only eejit101 and myself will be able to give reputation to members.

The reputation system will allow you to move up in levels based on the quality of your posts (the higher the level - the more chips you can earn).

Initially, everyone will be placed into the lowest level (so you won't earn chips as fast as you're used to).

Over a short period of time, people will begin to move up in levels, eventually having the ability to earn more chips than everyone is currently earning right now.

I will post again when we launch this.

Everyone is at the same level right now.

Everyone will be reset to the first level when this is launched.

People will move up/down levels based on their posts after the system is launched.

This won't affect your chip balance - Just the rate at which you'll earn chips in the future.

Yes. This will indeed be possible.

You will move up & down based on the quality of your posts.

As a very generic example:

You start off posting original and helpful/funny/entertaining posts for about a month. You will get lots of rep and will likely be in a higher level.

You then decide now is a good time to spam the forum with 1,000 articles from CNN about someone landing on the moon 199 years ago. You will lose rep for this and will likely go down a few levels. Actually, if you did this, you'd get banned because you'd obviously be trying to abuse the system, but you get the point!

Eejit101 has "power" because he is going to help me out with the system. He needs "power" to be able to impact the reputation of other members.

In some aspects he is a moderator, administrator, and regular member. However, he now has his own classification (eejit101).

Each post may be repped by 2 people.

So technically myself and NDNw ill both rep the same post twice. We wont know what each other has repped, unlesss we tell each other at the same time, which is unlikely.

So it will be faster than you think
