yes that is awesome. now all we need is the pirates to break out and make the playoffs...or be 500 at the end of the year. i can probably be pretty satisfied with that. They probably would have had a shot with mclouth and mcutcheon in the outfield but who would have thought 2 keep to good players???!

by the way, have you ever seen a defensive player be such a huge part of a cup championship? scuderi was just a complete animal. basically saved game 6 all by himself..woohoooo go pittsburgh

i agree completely scuderi was absolutely integral in pittsburgs win.couldnt think of a more apt nickname than the "PIECE"

i think the penguins owe it to dan bylsma. the new coach. when he started as coach they werent even gonna make the playoffs but he turned them around. kinda weird they go to final 2 years in a row with 2 different coaches. lol

I'm happy for the Pens, and even more happy that Detroit lost to anybody.

Odd: Sidney Crosby lives with Mario Lemieux and his family. Now that he has won a Stanley Cup, maybe he can get his own apartment.

Ditto, these guys deserve it. Sick of seeing the same team win over and over again. But seriously, I'm not much of a hockey fan, but that last game was some of the best stuff ive ever seen. up 2-0, wings start comin back, then fleury at the end makes two ridiculous saves to clinch it. Awesome game, couldnt have gone any other way.

Mario Lemieux sure made a good investment with the Penguins. He has really turned them around. I just wish he would have went through with his admonition that if he didn't get what he wanted he was going to transfer the team to Kansas City. I guess when you get what you ask for though, there's no sense in going through with what you said you were going to do.
