When times are tough, do any of you have something or someone you can turn to that will never fail to cheer you up, aside from religious beliefs? For me, perhaps obviously, aside from Klinkman the answer is always Beatles music. No matter how down I might be or how unrelated the song may be to my troubles, their music more than any other brings me comfort-sometimes it's what I need to get through the day. No matter how superficial it might be, what are the things that comfort you?

Well you did say you did not care how superficial it may be so I'll let you know what my comfort is. Besides my husband of course.
I love Mac Make Up and make up brushes.
Getting a great eyeliner on sale from Sephora is also really uplifting.
I love watching make-up how to videos by EnkoreMakeup on Youtube also.
It's so great, at one time I wanted to be a makeup artist, so I'm sorta really into it now.
I won't even tell you how ridiculous this habit is for me but instead of shoes like most women it's makeup for me.
Now do not laugh at me please, lol.

comfort for me is getting out of the house, spending time with my family, going down the road fishing and just relaxing. I find comfort in a good cup of coffee and a bagle in the mornings, the deer standing in my front lawn lawn in the earl morning dew, or even news that a close friend had a great day. But most of all more than anything else, i find comfort waking up and seeing my baby girl smile at my every morning, so happy to see me. that makes my day before it starts.

I'm not really into makeup myself, but I won't laugh at you! Out of curiosity though, does the comfort come from putting makeup on yourself, getting pampered with a makeover, or both? Seems like they'd be a little different, but maybe not.

:) Thanks for sharing, PANAMHIEST. That does seem like the most comforting thing of all. I know my fiance's smile could melt even the coldest days of my heart. You truly have experienced the simple joys in life, and that's what my post was all about. Thank you again for sharing.

LOL but how can you encourage originality when you have the power to edit it at any time?
Just sayin'.
I think I would enjoy that power too, though.

I think the comfort comes from the fact that I can still buy expensive, but good quality make up while I have a job in this economy and I'm not going to the drugstores yet.
Wow, that makes me sound so shallow, but it's true, and I'm not shallow.
Honest to God, I'm really not shallow.
I guess as long as I can go to the department stores for makeup and clothing then me and hubby are still doing find in this hard economic time.
And apart from this time, it comforts me because I never go out of the house without makeup and getting makeup is like apart of the daily outfit, just like shoes, clothes, and what girl doesn't love getting new shoes and clothing?
Get it a little more?
