Origin of Usernames

So today I started wondering how some of you (especially freeringo) got the inspiration to use the screen names you do here at NDN and on the felt. For some of us I know it's more obvious than others, but I thought it would be cool to learn where some of the more obscure names came from. So post any usernames you feel you'd like to explain, and the explanations for them in this thread. Go!

well Glo Bug came from my oldest daughter nick name since she was born. Glo (gloria) and Bug just fit becuase she had a glow worm.

my usernames on the poker sites are allinbaby...as in scotty nguyen "that's all in poker, baby!"

Mine pretty easy to figure out... B is the first initial of my husbands name and n meaning and, then L my first initial and M the first letter of our last name and 5 my favorite number and their are 5 letters in our last name. :)

everyday. The scrabble site (no longer available) was
played by mostly European players and they mostly
snubbed American players. I can understand why,
since most of the intellectual people fled Europe for
America. ( we are smarter than they are as a whole)
My names use to be FreeSB and Serendipidous.
I loved Serendipidous because it meant "fortunate warrior".
So one day, I wanted to blend into the scrabble world better
and heard Ringo Starr got busted for possesion of pot
at the London Airport. My first thoughts were "free ringo".
I have used it ever since. People would chat with me too.
I changed my name several months ago on Cake Poker for a week,
thinking I could throw people off my game. It made it worse cause
I got no respect. The name "freeringo" has earned a lot of respect over
the years and that plays into my game much better.
I have built a good reputation with this name and will not change it.
LDJ1 (ranked 1 of the best online Omaha Players) said while sitting behind me,
"freeringo can you take up another hobby, cause I can't put you on a hand."
Now thats respect.

Well lets see dallas12. It all started way back in the 60's when I became a DALLAS COWBOY fan. And the querterback was Roger Stauback and his number was 12. So thats were dallas12 came from.

mines pretty easy. nuts meaning the best hand in poker. a lot of people use that phrase in their name so i added the AA1 at the end.

I do not get the first one at all. Maybe I am being weird but I just don't. At least not at 2 am in the morning.

Which is evident of my tiredness as I said morning after 2am. lol.

Now the second one is really really easy for me to understand and cool.

I can try to explain it. He was saying that ashkai is a blend between his girlfriend, Ashley's name, and his name, which is Kyle. But some people call him Kai instead of Kyle, so therefore you can make it AshKai. It's okay that you don't get it, we forgive you :)

I just use my name because my real name is tomas and i used 225 when i play poker also tomas225 i t been :D
