ok so my computer works fine....i gan get on AIM i can go to any site online....but i can launch poker sites....whats wrong with my computer...if any comp ppl out there know the solution please share....i would really like to play on this home comp instead of using the library lol

could you give some more information like operating system, any anti-virus programs etc. Can you download the sites at all?

I am thinking that it may be a firewall or something like that. I am no computer geek but i can usually figure things out by either digging on the net or asking my one buddy who is a computer geek.

You need to check all your settings to make sure that you are no blocking poker sites. You will need to check your firewall settings thats if you have one and make sure you allow the sites . Also check your anti-virus thats if you have one of those also. And sometimes what you need to is to check to see if you have enough ram left on the computer so that you can download the sites. Hope that helps you.

hey it allows me to download them but then when i click on then to run....for example FTP says "trying again" b4 it even says connecting and stuff...just straight to trying again....operating system is windows....i can't remeber what year

It's probably most likely windows xp, 2000. or newer.

At least that's what I would think at first.

well if u have windows 98 it is time to upgrade. lol i think it is your firewall or u got a virus. do a scan and see what it comes up with. i had this problem b4 and it was a virus.

I'd had that problem before and it just sucks the life out of you thinking about buying a new, expensive computer. Ergh the horror!

nah u just have save whats not corrupted and download your os all over again. im glad my wife works in IT. or else i would be screwed.

I had the same problem with FTP earlier today. It works fine now.

Buy a new computer!

Or, get it upgraded to new windows, XP or Vista, i love Vista personally.
