This is a post to figure out who actually cares when they are play poker.........

Because of the forum, I can only guess that most people are here for fun!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! ME too.

I guess we have something in common now.........lol....

Now, for those who play with their goals at hand, how many of you actually think about them during your games. Every game to be specific.

Second questions is whether you are playing for real money or for entertainment and how this affects your game. (Meaning, do you make money, donk off, not care, entertained, etc.)

For myself, I know that I am playing for entertainment. I know someday I will win big and give everyone here a roll to begin the journey. I would not expect anyone to make it. Like the old saying says, "Expect nothing, hope for everyting". lol I think this is similar to online poker : )

I play for a living so obviously I am going to take it more serious then someone playing for entertainment.
Yes when I sit at a cash money table I have goals as to how much money I want to win within a certain amount of hands etc. I try to stay out of big big pots unless I have the nuts. This is just a strategy I have always had and always will.
When it comes to tournaments im more of the same. I have goals of how many chips I wanna have at a certain level of the tournament (I.E. I wanna have X amount of chips before the blinds reach X/X level)
So yes playing as a living gives you a certain intensity and different mindstate then someone who plays for the entertainment.

keeping an eye on the blinds and managing a large enuf chip count to get through them is a goal also for the "Jester of poker", for the win (is his goal too) is kin with this strategy as others. I think what seperates us is the pushing of the odds in a hands. We (not eejit) may have more flexability there. I don't know .... If a win is a $win then what does seperate us? besides better threads and bigger rents
