So, rules are.

1 - You pick 7 bands/singers/anyone to perform at your gig.

2 - Lost Prophets
3 - Linkin Park (with a small bit from Jay Z)
4 - The Beatles
5 - Funeral For A Friend
6 - Kanye West (acoustic with stringed instruments)

Carbon Leaf
Coldplay
Queen
Electric Light Orchestra
George Carlin
The Rat Pack

not necessarily in that order

As an addendum to my post; these are assumptions for my picks:The Beatles would do a set as a group, and then split off to do complete solo work sets as well, and Queen would be with Freddie Mercury, NOT Paul Rodgers.

If there's any one artist I absolutely can't stand, it's Rod Stewart. Sorry, but yuck!

lol so much for my perfect concert i thought my picks were the best..... the stones have tons of great songs except for "satisfaction" i don't care for that one. my fave is "honky tonk woman" and "missin you" Rod Stewart in his younger days was real good, his newer slow songs are kinda boring but my fave song from him is "baby jane" "forever young" and "the first cut is the deepest" i guess that classifies as his newer sucky slow songs, lol what a hipocrit i am anyway I may take out tina turner out of my perfect concert and add fats domino (i guess you can say my music preferences are old school)

PS/ the very first concert i ever went to was when i was about 12 or 13 and my dad took my brother and I we went to go see the eurythmics, lol and my 2nd concert was Corey Hart, lol, yup that was hundreds of years ago but since i started going to concerts i been going like crazy. going to see rod stewart again in vancouver on august 8th i've seen almost every artist out there except for Cher, missed her last final tour, LMAO

The thing about those last two Rod Stewart songs you mentioned is that they aren't actually his songs. The first one is a Bob Dylan number, and the second one is originally by Cat Stevens. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just happen to dislike cover versions most of the time, and I think it's at least important that if someone does like a cover version of a song, that they know there was an original and who it was performed and/or written by first. But if you honestly prefer the Rod Stewart versions, more power to you I suppose. I guess my dislike for Rod Stewart is not only because of his voice, which I find kind of annoying, but also that he pretty much only sings songs from other people. But that's just me, and you're certainly entitled to your opinion! I just thought you might be interested to know that those aren't actually his songs!

nice to know.... another music fact i'll add to this list.... did you know that bob seger did NOT write "old time rock n' roll" he said he wishes he did, he was approached and asked if he would sing it. I don't know who wrote it, but bob seger said it wasn't him.

I didn't know that, but it doesn't surprise me. According to Wikipedia, the song was written by George Jackson and Thomas E. Jones III. I guess there though he only kept one small part of the original song and changed the rest! Not your standard cover version!
