Need a new Notebook

So I spilt water on my computer by accident and it completely fried my computer. lol it even shorted the power in my room. So it is time for a new Notebook.. Any suggestions with which one I should buy? I've been looking at IBM Thinkpad T-Series and also a couple of Dells. Let me know with your experiences on either one or any others. I would like to have a slim design that has great management in the cooling system.

I just posted a thread about needing a new laptop also, didn't see this. Guess we're in the same boat. I have no clue what I should get, just something simple!

I'm considering just going with a desktop with a nice monitor and then investing more money in a nicer notebook given that my funds are limited at the moment.
