I have been thinking about buying a laptop but with so many on the market I am finding it tough to make a decision. I want to set up a wireless network in my home so I have to make sure that whatever I get will work. Hope you have fun with yours.

I do not know about you guys but I am not sure if computers are the best thing around or come from the very depths of hell. LOL. Mine is now 6 years old and I replaced the motherboard when it was only 2 years old and just replaced the hard drive, I lost everything on it, just this last August. Now the darn thing keeps shutting off. No more repairs, next time a new one.

When it is working fine I am a very happy girl. When it isn't I become very testy and anxious. I am addicted to the stupid thing. Plus the guys at best buy geek squad tick me off. Last time it took a week for them to put in the new hard drive and reinstall windows. Everyday I was told it would be ready the next day. The one day they promised it would be ready at closing time, I go there and it wasn't ready (2days later it was) Then they tried to say that I did not leave the folder I have with my recovery discs and other programs in it when I left the tower (took them 15 minutes but they found it). Then the real kicker, they tried to charge me for recovery of data off the old hard drive. I took me 30 minutes to straighten that our and get my money back.

Thanks for letting me vent.

You're welcome to vent anytime!

Sounds like a huge pain! Hopefully when you put that one to rest you'll find a new one that doesn't give you any problems!

tell me about it. When I get a new one I want to go to the roof of my house and throw this stupid one onto the driveway. I am thinking that it would be some good therapy.
