well its been a long day of running around from doctor to doctor. now i at the hospital staying overnight with my son. he is 1 years old and has ITP. its a blood disorder. dont know to much about it but they are giving him treatment over night then running more test in the morning. not sure how long i we will be here but let me tell you how boring it is here. well i wont but you can image. i realize it take about 5 grown adults to hold down a 13 month old baby down to get an iv in him. crazy stuff but said watching him scream helplessly in pain. well anyways i am going to surf the web some more to pass the time away until the morning.

Hi My prayers and best wishes are with you and your family. My granddaughter was born with a brain tumor - last year it was removed and she hopitalized for 2 months. I can relate to how difficult it is with children and medical procedures. There a tremendous treatments out there for all sorts of health issues - keep the faith.

thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. just a little update. they took his blood this morning to run more test to see if last nights treatment helped. if not it looks like another long day here with very little sleep. as soon as i get the results i will be sure to let yall know.

well the good news is that the platelets count went up from 3000 to 14000 but still the idea count is at least 140000. its up to the doctor on what we do next. could go home tonight but i doubt it cuz it is still really low. anyways if i hear anything i will post more. good thing is found out what it was before hand. one simple fall on his head could of lead to bleeding in the brain. i am just thankful its getting treated before something bad happen

There is Nothing more fightening to a parent then a sick Child. May your son pull through and be back home soon.

well the doc wants to do another blood test in an hour and then we are going to go from there but this will be an on going thing for a little while. so more trips to the hospital is almost gtd.

well everything is doing better and we are home now but the treatment will be a weekly thing until he is 100%

well today went back for another blood test. his count is up to 159,000 now which is normal. wait and see what it is in a about 2 weeks when his treatment wears off.
