So. Ill try and find a way to write this post straight-forwardly, but its hard.
We have a famous satire writer, tv show writer, broadcaster/journalist here called Charlie Brooker. He recently wrote a TV show called "Dead Set", a horror 5 part show set on the Big Brother set, which was interesting a very dark.
HE has just written and now broadcasting is a 3 part satire/comedy/dark drama about UK life. Part 1 is political, Part 2 is about reality shows (xxx Got Talent, X Factor), part 3 is set where everyone has access to everything they have ever done. Weird.
Part 1 was recently on. Here is the wikipedia article about it (dont judge)
The first programme is a political thriller in which fictional Prime Minister Michael Callow faces a huge and shocking dilemma when Princess Susannah, a much-loved member of the Royal Family, is kidnapped. For her safe return, the Prime Minister must have sexual intercourse with a pig on national television.[3]
I cant honestly say what I think about it. The script is genius. It goes in to the press, the royal family, politics, human belief, personal relationships, everything.
Its 40 minutes long. But i was gripped. Obviously the whole notion is... well, insane, but this was different to anything else I've seen on TV.
I honestly recommend watching it, and then discuss in here. If your in the UK, its on
