Halloween at Grandmas house
Grandma died in October of 1997. Our family gathered at her house after
the funeral to split up her belongings. Grandma was a pack rat and her house
was filled with all kinds of nice collectables. Two days later the house was
75% empty and the out of town family members had left and the last clean
up was left to our family. On Halloween morning we went back to grandmas house
and brought our oldest son Johnny who volunteered to go up into the attic
and see whats up there. Johnny crawled slowly through the small hole in
the ceiling and shortly yelled I found a mirror with writing on it. As he was handing
the mirror down through the hole he screamed and said "something just touched me".
He dove out of that attic faster than a scared mouse. When the dust settled we looked at the mirror and the words "Beware Vicki" were visible through the dust. We decided to collect a few things and come back later. That afternoon Vicki and Staci were there alone packing a few last things when suddenly Vicki's arms started to bleed above her elbows and when she went to the kitchen to find a towel she saw an old bearded man crouching in the corner.
So freaked out by what happened, my wife would not set foot on that property again.
I never witnessed anything except the mirror which I thought was a prank, but I can't explain the arms bleeding. Months later I was talking to an old timer in town and he told me of the haunted house down the street. He spoke of grandmas old house. The house sold a year later and the new owners for some reason or another bulldozed the house and today they still have not built on that property.

Okay here is my scariest Halloween story.... One Halloween when my girls were still pretty little. I think Jessica was 8 and Haley was 3, but, as most of you know they are much older now. Anyway my sister and I decided to take them out trick or treating. So we picked the best, high class neighborhood that we could and figured it would be a safe and good place to go. It was an unusually dark night when we started and within 45 minutes of trick or treating things seemed suddenly darker and very still. Like suddenly there was no body but us. I had a very eerie feeling come over me. Something was wrong! I thought for a second out of the corner of my eye that I saw a group of people all dressed in black, big people, but it was so fast I wasn't sure. So I asked my sister, "Gena, did you just see those people?" And she answered "what people?" So I'm thinking, humm is this real or am I just imagining this. So I say, Gena lets get to a house! She says, why, what's wrong? I say common lets go. So we get to a house and knock and nobody answers. I am really scared now. She is asking me what’s going on? I said nothing just come on and quickly we go to the next house and again no answer. I am terrified and my sister could see that, but we did not want to scare the girls. So quickly to the next house, and again no answer. This happened with four houses! I could feel something wrong, I could feel someone following us. Finally the fifth house we come to this little man answered the door, probably in his 30‘s. My first thought was great this little guy can't help us... Any way as he opened the door to give the kids candy I told him that we were scared and could he please walk us to our car which was parked about 2 blocks away. He was pretty skeptical as if I were crazy or trying to trick him or something. I tried to explain without sounding paranoid or crazy. He finally, rather reluctantly walked us toward my sisters car. And as we reached the corner of the road where we were parked and could see the car, we saw the car and it had been turned upside-down. My sister had just gotten the car and had only made one payment on it. She flipped out and almost hyperventilated. I was like I knew something was wrong, I KNEW it! So as the man realized that I was not crazy said come on lets go back to my house and make a few phone calls. We went back to his house and called the police, my dad and my husband and thanked the gentleman who helped us. Boy what a night and what a scary feeling. We never found out who did it or if they were somewhere near following nor did we ever go trick or treating alone again or in that neighborhood.
