Name That Tune #8

I will post in this thread the first word of a song, you all get a certain amout of time to guess the song from the one word, if noone does guess it, i shall add the 2nd word of the song, and you can all guess again. However, the more words i have to add, the lower to chip prize becomes for guessing it correctly.

In the event of a tie, The pool will be split between the correct answers...

Chip payouts;

1 Word - 6,000
2 Words - 3,000
3 Words - 1,500
4 Words - 1,000
5 Words - 750
6 Words - 500

You may only guess one time per word.

The words i am posting are the FIRST words in the song, not the title of the song

Please send me, eejit101 a PM with your guess in the title, it just saves me having to read through millions of PMs. I will respond to you if your guess is correct.

Okay so I re-read this post and clearly didn't pay attention enough when I read it the first time.

And realisticly this won't be solved until we have 4 or 5 words, because it's not the title like I thought it was.

I was searching on letssingit.com and my guess was No One Sleeps When I'm Awake - The Sounds.

I thought it sounded like a good guess, but that was when I thought we were looking for the title.

Now this is going to be so much harder.

Good luck to all who participate in this.

It looks like it wil be fun but also a headache.

I don't know if you remember or not, but this isn't the first one of these contests he's done. There was one random contest right when he started (probably before you joined, I think) where I got extremely lucky and guessed it on the first word.

Usually though, it only takes two or three to actually get it right. The second word clears up a lot usually, and the third word often makes it pretty obvious.

And yeah, it's definitely always been the first word of the song lyrics, not the first word of the title. He states that in the original post

I didn't realize that because I haven't really participated in many of these and I always assumed it was just the title, because lyrics would be difficult to solve on the first go.

But that's probably the point, lol.

I don't think I will win but I'll give it a go.

Let me guess, I was the only one to guess.

Because I know I sent in for that one.

Even though I know I was wrong.

You should just throw out the second word.

And this is going to be guessed by the first six words correct?

i a not going to make a guess until i can at least make a good one. no need to make a fool out of myself.

I guessed but I read it wrong so I should just not answer until we have three or four or five words out there to search off of.

That's the plan at least.

And hope everyone's internet doesn't work except mine and eejits.

Well not by me.

Do you know how many songs in the english language, wait it is in the english language right?

That there are possibly out there.

I think it will be guessed on the third or fourth unless It's like "No Satisfaction" or something of the sort.

You know that it is distinguishable word.

Is it one of your favorite songs eejit?

Just wondering if that might help us.

I know how hard it is, thats why for 1 word you get so many chips.

Just wait for the 2nd word. Then guess again. And this will be got after 3 words i think.

Im all googled out and cant find any god songs where the lyrics start with no. I dont personally know of any, but I have one song nagging me, its right there at the tip of my tongue, and i cant for the life of me remember who sung it.

I submitted a guess. Not sure that it's right, but hopefully it'll make eejit happy. I think he was feeling lonely and unloved that I hadn't guessed yet.
